Welcome to Residency! You're in the right place if you want to change your residency status from non-resident to resident so that you can pay Resident Tuition. Your status is initially determined by Admissions based your application for admission to WSU. 

1. Take the Residency Quizzes! Our quizzes will tell you if you are eligible for residency for the current processing term, though we don't collect the data, so you can take the quiz as if you were in a future term.
2. Read the information about the type of residency you qualify for. Use the links in the left sidebar navigation. 
3. If you're not eligible for residency this term, read the Future Residency page for steps that you MUST take by September to be eligible next Fall.
4. Apply for residency no later than the 30th day of the term for Residency Affidavit, American Indian, and Financially Dependent/Independent (Traditional application) students and no later than the last day of the term for Military Residency students. Deadlines.
