Which application should you use?

1. Student is physically present in Washington

The Residency Affidavit is the easiest application if you meet the criteria. Use it when the student moves to Washington state at least 12 months prior to attending any Washington college for more than six credits per term. It can also be used if a student moves to Washington and takes 6 credits or less for a year.

2. Traditional Residency Application

Use this application if you are financially dependent and a parent lives in Washington or are financially independent and have established a domicile in Washington.

3. Other Residency Applications

Military Residency information and application. For students using VA educational benefits or who have a military-affiliation.
American Indian Residency information and application. For students who are members of certain American Indian tribes.
Freely Associated States information and application. For students who are citizens of one of three Freely Associated States.
Residency Review Request to correct an error or evaluate status.
