Current WSU Students
If you are currently coded as a RESIDENT, you will retain your resident status as long as you remain continuously enrolled. If you need to re-apply, perhaps after a year off or to attend Graduate School, your residency will be evaluated based on your current status.
New WSU Students
You may be considered a Washington resident if:
- You spent at least 75% of both your junior and senior years in high schools in Washington, AND

- You enrolled in a public institution of higher education within six months of leaving high school and remained continuously enrolled for two semesters in any calendar year.

You will need to apply for residency as a Dependent Student.
